We are so proud to present our collaboration with Iolani Palace!

Made in Turkey with 100% Turkish Cotton

All proceeds go to Iolani Palace in efforts to raise funds in support of it’s preservation!  The color blue of this Hoa Kai Turkish towel represents royalty outlining the form of the Iolani Palace, and all it’s authenticity.  The Hawaiian flags drape it’s structure with humility and heritage, bringing an essence of rich history.

Built in 1882, the Iolani Palace served as a monument to the Hawaiian kingdom and home to the last two ruling monarchs.  King Kalakaua and his sister successor, Queen Lili'uokalani, walked the halls and ruled the islands while also reviving lost traditions and strengthening political power.  After the overthrow of the Hawaiian kingdom by the United States of America, Queen Lili’uokalani was imprisoned in the Palace after a trial in her own throne room.

The ‘ohana of Hoa Kai is especially grateful to work with the friends of Iolani Palace to maintain this place of monumental significance.  As natives of these islands, the Hoa Kai ‘ohana is rooted to Hawaiian heritage and is sincerely proud to present this piece.  These towels are absorbent, lightweight, and sand resistant, making it perfect for island lifestyle whether it be ma uka or ma kai :)
